CELINE DION HONORARY DOCTORATE

Celine Dion gets honorary doctorate in Quebec, Canada on August 21, 2008.

The event, which is part of Université Laval’s contribution to Quebec City’s 400th anniversary celebrations, was attended by Université Laval rector Denis Brière, many dignitaries, 

​

Ms. Dion is involved in many humanitarian causes, notably her own Céline Dion Foundation and the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, of which she is the celebrity patron, as well as the T.J. Martell Foundation and the Princess Diana Memorial Fund. She has also been involved in a number of fundraising campaigns for health and education, and is a lifetime sponsor of the Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation of Montreal.
